“May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” – 2 Corinthians 13:14

Scripture reveals to us over and over, through both testaments, the nature of God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There are dozens of ways we as the church try to explain what is known as “The Trinity” in layman’s terms, but it is the Holy Spirit which reveals these mysteries to us as we spend more time with God learning His will and His ways.

And how do we get to God the Father? Through Jesus. God sent His Son to the earth, the invisible God made visible, to die for our sins once and for all. After three days in the tomb, Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to heaven to be with the Father. Sin was conquered! Death conquered! But He did not leave us alone.

“But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.” John 16:13-14

The Holy Spirit, the person of God, is inside of us, changing us from the inside out. Through the Holy Spirit, we experience the three in one with 24/7 access to our Father. Heaven is now within because God dwells within! He chose us to live in union with Him. We are one with the Creator of the universe.

Through Jesus’ Eyes

As Jesus is, so are we on the earth. We are Jesus on the earth. We are His eyes. We are His hands. We are His voice. We are His feet. I was reading a book on encountering God and it mentioned that Jesus is always looking through our eyes! Knowing this and being aware of His promptings, compassion and love towards people and all of creation massively shifts our earthly paradigm. This is partnering with God on an entirely new level.

Christ Has No Hands But Ours
Christ Has No Body
Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
Compassion on this world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
– Teresa of Avila (1515-1582)

We love Jesus by loving others. This is how we glorify God. This allows the world to experience Jesus, to taste and see the Lord is good. Christ in us, the hope of glory.

Pray this prayer: Jesus, open my eyes to see as You see! Let me see others as You see them. When we love, we move the heart of Jesus.

Now imagine how Jesus sees compared to the seemingly “hopeless” or “impossible” circumstances through our natural eyes. With man it is impossible but with Jesus, nothing is impossible!
